Low Side Charge Port Location on 2014 Volvo S60
Question: Where are they hiding the low side charge port on the 2014 Volvo S60?

Unlike the high side port, which is out in the open on most of the 2011 - 2018 Volvo S60's, the low side port is usually found under the plastic wiper cowling. On earlier models, the port is often tucked down low next to the coolant expansion tank. So even though this port is hidden under the cowl, we would still consider this an improvement.
Once you know where it is, It's easy enough to get to. In our case, we removed a couple plastic Phillips head screws from the passenger side of the cowl and a couple of push pins. Luckily, we didn't have to remove the wiper arms or anything complicated and we found the cowl was flexible enough to move up out of the way.

From this location, we had full access to the charge port along with the lines and expansion valve for leak testing. Ultimately, we found a bad high side "Volvo" type Schrader valve that was the original culprit for the low refrigerant charge. When this car arrived to our shop, we found both of the charge port caps hanging from their tethers. We later found out the customer charged the system himself and had some cold air for a few days, but since he had a leaking a high side port and forgot to replace the caps, he gave up and decided to get our help when the system quit working again.
