Instead of adjusting the cycle switch 1/2 turn out, you should adjust it to cut out the compressor at about 19psig. You can do so by putting the blower at it's slowest setting. This will get the low-side pressure down to it's cut out pressure.

Might not be your problem but if the switch is cutting out the compressor too soon, cooling will suffer; mostly when the load is lighter.
